ABSTRACT :

The etiology of ADHD remains unclear, with theories pointing to reduced brain functioning due to deficits in cognitive processing, attention, and other behavioral
issues. Studies have highlighted areas like the prefrontal cortex, caudate nucleus, and cerebellum as key regions with deficits in individuals with ADHD. Neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine play a crucial role in
ADHD, with genetic variations affecting their functioning. Medications like methylphenidate and amphetamines interact with dopamine and norepinephrine metabolism to treat ADHD symptoms.
