ABSTRACT :
The article briefly reviews Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and Parkinson’s Disease (PD), emphasizing their historical context, clinical manifestations, and potential dietary
influences. The intricate relationship between nutritionrelated factors, such as obesity, poor diet, and diabetes, and the risk of developing AD is explored. Additionally, the hypothesis proposing AD as a unique form of diabetes (type III) is discussed, shedding light on metabolic connections. In PD, the focus is on risk factors and the intriguing association between an increased sugar intake and its potential therapeutic implications. This paper underscores the multifaceted interplay between nutrition, metabolism, and neurodegenerative disorders, emphasizing the need for further research to guide preventive strategies and interventions.
