ABSTRACT :

Irritable bowel syndrome and endometriosis are complex disorders with overlapping symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, and constipation. Their pathogenesis is not fully understood and involves genetic, immunological, hormonal, and environmental factors. This article presents the study design and methodology; no results are reported. This study involves the collection and analysis of behavioral and biochemical data from patients with IBS and endometriosis in North Moldova. Biological samples, including blood, urine, feces, and tears, will be examined for oxidative and inflammatory markers, while standardized questionnaires, such as the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, will assess sleep quality and affective status. The study will explore potential correlations between these parameters, which may provide insights into shared mechanisms and inform future research on biomarkers and therapeutic strategies.
