ON THE RELEVANCE OF IRON OXIDE NANOPARTICLES IN ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE. A THEORETICAL STUDY

This study reviews the most recent scientific articles issued in the literature related to the administration of iron oxide nanoparticles in neurodegenerative Alzheimer’s disease, as well as their neurotoxic potential presented in selected in vivo studies.The present work is a synthesis of studies by other researchers and an analysis of Pubmed, Science Direct, Springer Nature Link and Google Scholar databases on the topical relevance of iron oxide nanoparticles in Alzheimer’s disease using key terms to obtain the total number of articles published in the last 10 years.
