ABSTRACT :

Aggression is a multiform behavior, observed in many species around the globe, including humans. The present paper aims to explore the biological bases of aggression, focusing on the contributions of Konrad Lorenz and Sigmund Freud, on the role of the limbic system and the neurochemical mechanisms involved. Through a review of the literature and case studies, we aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of aggression as an adaptive behavior influenced by both genetic and environmental factors.
