ABSTRACT :

Schizophrenia is a psychosis characterized by impaired thought processes and inappropriate emotional responses. Compared to the general population, people diagnosed with various schizophrenic symptoms have an increased risk of developing dental conditions of different nature, including dental caries, periodontal diseases, and oral mucosal conditions. In this context, we aim to establish the links between schizophrenia – dental conditions and the importance of oxidative stress markers in this respect.
